Skedful vs Fresha vs Booksy
The two platforms most businesses weigh against us in the US.
| Yes/No | Skedful | Fresha | Booksy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price per month (one professional) | $19 Starter | Per team member (see their pricing) | $29.99 + tax |
| Booksy is cheaper than us for a solo pro, and its single tier includes everything. Fresha's pricing page shows rates for the visitor's own region; we could not verify a US figure from outside the US, so we do not quote one rather than print a number we have not seen. | |||
| Price for a 10-person business | $49 flat | Per team member × 10 | $209.99 |
| Booksy is $29.99 + $20/month per additional team member. Skedful's $49 Studio plan covers your whole team at one flat price, however many people, with no per-seat charge. Fresha's Team plan is also per team member. Read this as a scale argument, not a blanket one: Booksy's per-seat model is cheaper than us for most small teams, and only crosses our flat price at around seven people. | |||
| Commission on a booking | None, ever | Marketplace new-client fee (opt-in) | Boost: 30% of the first visit (opt-in) |
| Read this one precisely, because the headline version of it is wrong. All three take 0% on your own direct and repeat bookings. Fresha's and Booksy's fees apply only to their opt-in marketplace products, which you choose to switch on. The honest difference: with Skedful there is no path in which a booking costs you a percentage, because no such mechanism exists. | |||
| SMS / WhatsApp included | 150 / 600 / 2,000 per month by plan | 20 free per month, then metered | Not published |
| Skedful: 150 on Starter, 600 on Pro ($39), 2,000 on Studio ($49). Email reminders are unlimited. These are caps, not "unlimited", and that includes ours. | |||
| Free trial | 30 days, no card | 7 days | 14 days, no card |
| Marketplace that brings you new clients | No | Yes | Yes |
| This is our biggest gap, and it is a deliberate one. Fresha lists 130,000+ partner businesses; Booksy Marketplace claims 44 million clients. Skedful has no discovery network at all. Clients come from your own booking link, site and socials. That is the trade for never charging a percentage. If what you need is new-client traffic rather than a calendar, they do something we do not. | |||

Booking is one sentence.
Instead of searching for the client, opening the calendar, checking what is free, picking a service and filling a form, just tell Emma what you need, in plain language.
- Book Dana a cut Tuesday after 4
- Who's free tomorrow morning?
- Move Yossi's booking to next week
- Finds the client in your records
- Checks real availability against your calendar, not a guess
- Books it in
- To move one: drafts the client a message with up to three alternative times and a secure link
Emma is included from Pro ($39). She does not send client messages on her own: she writes the draft and waits for you to confirm. She will not message your clients behind your back.
Where Fresha and Booksy beat Skedful
The part comparison pages usually leave out. If one of these is critical for you, pick them, not us.
No marketplace, no discovery
Both run real consumer marketplaces that put you in front of people who have never heard of you. We do not have one and are not building one. It is the direct trade for taking no commission. If you are trying to fill a new chair, that matters.
Booksy is cheaper for a solo pro
Booksy is $29.99/month with every feature included. Skedful Starter is $19, and our waitlist automation and consent forms do not start until Pro ($39). On a like-for-like solo setup, Booksy costs less and gates less.
Booksy is cheaper for most small teams
Our Pro plan ($39) covers three professionals, so a fourth person moves you to Studio at $49. Booksy at that size is $89.99, and it stays cheaper than us through about six people. Our flat price only wins from roughly the seventh professional up. If your team is four to six, do the arithmetic before you switch.
They include forms and waitlists earlier
Fresha's entry plan already ships waitlists with backfill, consultation forms with signature, memberships and packages. Booksy's single tier includes everything it sells. We gate several of those behind higher plans.
When Skedful is the right call
Not always. In these three cases, yes.
You never want to pay a percentage
There is no commission mechanism in Skedful at all: not on new clients, not on repeat clients, not on any channel. You pay the subscription and that is the whole bill.
You have a bigger team
$49 flat covers your whole team, however many professionals, with no per-seat charge. The same 10-person studio is $209.99/month on Booksy's per-seat model, and Fresha's Team plan also bills per member. The bigger the team, the wider that gap gets.
You want to try it properly
30 days, no credit card, against 7 on Fresha and 14 on Booksy. And you can export every client, booking and form to CSV on any plan, Starter ($19) included, whenever you want.
Try it for 30 days. No card.
If it is not a fit after a month, walk away. You can export everything you put in, on any plan, at any time.
