Booksy migration guide

Move from Booksy one verified file at a time.

Booksy asks US businesses to request a client-list copy from support. Once you have it, map clients and future bookings in Skedful without assuming past history transfers.

Ask Booksy for your client list

Booksy’s US help center directs businesses to request a client list with contact details from [email protected]. Ask what format and columns they can provide, including a stable reference for future bookings if available. Do not assume a Booksy report is ready for direct upload.

Step by step

From Booksy request to verified bookings

  1. Request your export

Contact Booksy support using the address in its official help page and request your client list. Ask separately about a future-booking export. Keep any original files private.

  2. Convert a working copy to CSV

Inspect the columns Booksy provides. If the file is a spreadsheet, save a working copy as CSV. Keep name, email, phone and notes when available.

  3. Import clients into Skedful

Open Clients → Import from CSV. Correct the proposed mapping, review invalid and already present rows, then confirm.

  4. Prepare future bookings separately

Create services and staff first. A future-booking CSV needs a stable reference, an existing client email, an active service and an offset-bearing start time. Under Schedule → List → Appointments → Import bookings, enter a source name and keep it unchanged on retries. Preview, then verify the results.

What the CSV importer reads

Clients

Name (or first and last name), email, phone and notes. A name is required. Invalid email rows are skipped; an unparseable phone is omitted with a warning. Review the proposed column mapping before confirming.

Upcoming bookings

A separate CSV import accepts a unique source booking reference, existing client email, active service name and a future start time with a timezone offset. Staff, end time and internal notes are optional. Add services and staff first; bookings do not create them.

File limits

Client imports accept up to 5,000 rows. Booking imports accept up to 500 rows, 50 columns and 500 KB per file. Split larger files and preview each batch.

What does not come across

History and payments

Past visits, lifetime spend, payment history and stored payment cards are not imported. Keep a private copy of your original export for records.

Services and consent

Services, staff accounts, signed consent forms and marketing consent do not transfer. Set up services and staff yourself; collect fresh consent where your process requires it.

No automatic messages on import

Importing clients or bookings does not itself send a welcome message, booking confirmation or reminder. Later ordinary edits and scheduled workflows may still act on imported bookings.
